MONTH OF PHOTOGRAPHY LOS ANGELES 2019

STANDARDVISION X MOPLA SHOWCASE:

For the month of April StandardVision has partnered with Month of Photography Los Angeles to present the work of both local and global photographers. Featuring the work of a common theme each week, Month of Photography Los Angeles aims to expose the public to the diversity of photography.  This exhibition was curated from submissions to MOPLA’s annual Open Call.

THE PROGRAM WILL BE ON VIEW FROM APRIL 1 – 30, WITH PHOTOGRAPHIC SELECTIONS SHOWING MULTIPLE TIMES EVERY HOUR THROUGHOUT EACH DAY AT TWO PUBLIC SCREENS IN DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES901 WEST OLYMPIC BOULEVARD, LOS ANGELES, CA, 90015

Projections run at the top of every hour. 

These ongoing” Children of The Sunrise,” highlights the timeless paradise of the Uros people, a pre-Incan town who live on self-fashioned floating reed islands in Lake Titicaca between Peru and Bolivia. unique people that have had the strength to survive throughout the last 1000 years based on its immense capacity for adaptation. and their care and respect for their natural environment.The Uros considered themselves sons of the sun and the owners of the lake and water.
